52 Souls

THE STORY

This song was written by our good friend Chad (Chas Charles from Liverpool)..

Thanks mate 👌

A song about another Terrorist attack in London (July 7th 2005)
when 52 innocent lives were ended by the religion of peace.

If we lived in Japan or Poland we wouldn’t have to endure these atrocities
..

THE LYRICS

Fifty two souls
July the seventh, two thousand and five
Just another day in London, the streets were alive
Commuters on buses, on the tubes underground
Then terror descended, from all around

Fifty two innocent lives, cut short
A city in mourning, a nation distraught
The echo of sirens, the tears that still fall
We remember those that were lost, we remember them all

Aldgate, King’s Cross and Russell Square
Explosions all around, a city nightmare
Tavistock Square, a bus torn apart
Leaving shattered lives, and broken hearts

From every walk of life, a vibrant array
Their journeys left unfinished on that fateful day
But London stood strong, united and true
A testament to resilience – for me and you

We’ll never forget them – the fifty two souls
We’ll wear our poppies with pride
In our button holes
July the seventh, a day to recall
A day that London grieved
