Farewell my old friend

THE STORY

After 40 years of our Nationalist fight, a lot of our old friends are making the trip to Valhalla.

Our lives are a constant struggle, we’re not bankers or lawyers who sit around all day – we are the builders, mechanics, soldiers, firemen etc We have worked for the last 40 years, and drank and partied and lived our glorious lives and eventually the reaper catches up with some of us.

We have been to a lot of funerals and we have lost some loyal friends along the way….

I still smile when I hear your name

THE LYRICS

I am lost for words – I don’t know what to say
Cos another old friend has just passed away
The valkyries came and they claimed your soul
But in a world full of scumbags
Why were you the one to go?

And a thousand people stood
With their heads bowed in the sun
And we talked about your life
And all the things you’d done
And not once did you compromise
You were loyal to the end
And i still smile when i hear your name
This songs for you – my old friend

For the last 40 years – we stood side by side
And not once did we waiver
Against their constant lies
Our ideals and integrity
Our strength to see this through
When all others proved unfaithful
You were always true

Now sadness overwhelms us
Why did you have to leave?
But you will never be forgotten
You’ll live on through your deeds
Cos true friends never die
Their memory lives on
You will always be remembered
Long after you’re gone
